We offer a COMPLETE service from the development of a simple idea through to the design, Council planning application submission, negotiation and approval, specification, implementation, project and construction management to final handover. This maybe a small stable block at home to a fully operational commercial stable complex including stable, walker, manage, aqua therapy, car and lorry parks, etc, etc. We are able to provide ALL of these services In House, however, should you have a preference for a certain manufacturer or item to be included, then we shall of course be delighted to help specify and project manage the installation process. Design
An initial consultation will crystallise your ideas and form the basis of a formal design. We gain an appreciation of your requirements and the scale of the proposal, combined with your envisaged budget. These form the basis of a more accurate budget, further consultation may revise either design, specification and budget until we have a working plan, forming the basis of the submission to the Local Planning authority and the project begins to come to life. The formal submission of a planning application will be completed, following which a minimum eight week approval period will ensue. This period could be extended dependent on the value of the development and the perceived impact on the environment.
Consultancy and Design
On gaining planning approval a detailed layout and sectional plans will be produced following a detailed site survey as your vision is committed to paper and becomes reality. Following a design review the plans are finalised and an accurate, evaluated bill of quantity produced. The Planning Process quite often entails dealing with Local Council Planning Departments requiring an understanding of Planning Policy, planning jargon, and the clear presentation of the required information to achieve a positive result. Following a thorough survey of the site an outline engineering design is produced in AutoCAD format to provide a conceptual view of the proposed facility.
Stables, Stable Buildings/Blocks
Traditional wooden stable blocks, half block/half wood, American Barn can all be constructed to your specification. We are pleased to undertake all aspects of the works from the ground works through to the wiring and CCTV installation if required. From the simple “off the shelf” designs, to more “bespoke” buildings combining your luxury, (or quirky), preferences that maybe incorporated into the design. Insulation, flooring, drainage, heating, power supplies, ventilation, security, CCTV, etc are all possible and maybe added to the simplest of initial designs.EES are happy to erect from our own range of buildings or should you have a preference of supplier we may deal with them to project manage the installation on your behalf as part of a grander package of work.
Field Shelters
From a simple wooden construction, mobile unit, built to your personal specification to a more robust block/brick built shelter. ESS can fulfill all your needs. It is worthy of note that a mobile field shelter does not require planning permission, providing of course it has the capacity to be moved on occasions.
Manage Design and Construction
The correct specification, construction and maintenance of your menage is essential to ensure that you enjoy years of trouble free service. The size of manage is critical, and requires due consideration. Your individual requirements and the particular discipline for which the manage will be used will dictate the size best suited to your needs. Of paramount importance is the drainage of the site, the installation of an efficient drainage system is of the utmost importance to the final quality of the manage. It is the installation of an efficient drainage system that should not be taken lightly, a badly drained manage is of no use to anyone, it is the single most critical aspect of the manage. The correct drainage and sub-surface construction, combined with the most suitable surface for your purpose, will provide a safe arena in which to work and train, for both horses and riders. Up to date construction techniques and materials are use in the construction of the manage. Adequate fencing and access, provide containment, and a rustic finish whilst an open boarded edge, enhanced with sympathetic planting provides a more open formal setting.
Indoor Arenas
Arguably the most luxurious of additions to any equestrian facility the indoor arena provides year round availability of use. Warm, dry, wind free and with good lighting in the winter, shaded and cool in the summer the “indoor” is the ultimate addition to the private yard and an absolute must to any equestrian centre allowing round the clock use if required. Not for the feint hearted but with the right knowledge and experience the design, procurement and construction process need not be problematic nor disruptive.
